One leaf bud breaking,
new horizons unfolding.
Springs emerging day.
One leaf bud breaking,
new horizons unfolding.
Springs emerging day.
Pointing your finger,
Placing blame where it belongs!
Looking in mirrors.
American life,
Where even poor seem rich, free,…
But not for dreamers!
Hang your head in shame,
promise of home and freedom,
Lady of Liberty, trumped.
While others sleep,
The vigilant stand watch over
The silent sea.
Where has my muse gone?
In the climate of the times,
she’s departed for other climes!
Not nautical or civil,
this cloudy night no twilight!
No horizon, no star sight.
i open myself
up, lifting you upward,
to the light, upward…
We don’t think alike,
letters, numbers, words, images,
symbols of the mind.
…another one of
those crazy series of days
that seem to run together.
Everything else lost to sight,
time at the speed of light!
