People who place themselves
at the head of the table.
People who invoke for themselves
some elusive power.
People who see themselves
as the need of the hour.
People who see themselves
Worthy of all honor.
Who see their god as helpless, ineffective,
in Towers imagine,
Themselves above all others.
In laughter’s joy,
the sparkling of your eyes,
Lights up my life.
Probbing, and prodding,
Emerging, expanding, enfolding, entrapping,
Tendrils of memory!
A little slow in getting this up, but here is a shot of all of my sketches done in 2015*. It was a sketch-filled year alright, with a large bulk coming in the middle, on my sketching trip to France…

The 2015 edition of the Automattic Worldwide WP 5k (#WWWP5k) is around the corner!
Automatticians already hit the trail at our company meetup last week. It was early — the sun was barely peeking behind the mountains in Park City, Utah — but the air was crisp and the morning was perfect for running a 5k. (Staying fit is an important part of our company culture.)

Ancient trees speak to me… Thanks to everyone who inspired the Lady Calen to post this and introduce, I hope, Herman Hesse to other readers. And to the Reader for bringing it my way.

Along with some impressive pictures she’s taken, Spiritual Dragonfly posted this beautiful quote about trees from Hermann Hesse’s book Bäume. Betrachtungen und Gedichte on her blog today. (I will not pretend to know what that means!) She was kind enough to pull out the bit in the book it was taken from for me to post.
