Shooting star, bright joy,
Lighting the darkness of night.
Now just memories…
night
Release…
Morning mountain sun
Arising to a new day
Winter slips away
Remembrance
Frigid, midnight blue,
Relentless seas roll over…
Edmund Fitzgerald.

Night Fox
On new moonlit snow,
patchwork shadows, two that move.
Fox, Vixen on the prowl.
Night Watch
While others sleep,
The vigilant stand watch over
The silent sea.
Waiting…
In the shadow
Light of night, waiting on
The coming dawn.
Now…
Just the right moment,
to start, waiting to begin,
and nothing gets done.
Stars…
At nautical twilight
thousands of stars, civil twilight
out of sight.
Sighting
Silver flashing streak
Headlights sweeping the meadow.
Coyote in the night
Cherry blossom bed
In Sasebo ryokan
your soft caress heats the night.
Goose down quilt.
