on the Journey…
Creativity for the Haiku portion of this blog has been dim these past few years. Something I’m always thinking about… But, lately I’ve been thinking also about the other half, the journey portion, and that has still been continuing. Old doors closing and new ones opening, adventures and travel…
So, until the creativity kicks back in, and maybe beyond, I’m going to be posting about this journey. I’ll mix a little of this happened, with this is happening, to thus are the dreams…
Just a quick update tonight, I’ll be back in a couple of days.
Venus…
Venus morning star,
and my thoughts turn to you.
Beauty shining bright.
Midwatch
In midwatch hours,
Bows slicing dark rolling sea,
luminescent wake.
The Madness
The madness took them,
every evening at dusk,
to dance the night away!
Sounding…
Sings out, “By the deep eleven!”
Bo’sun in the chains, heaves the lead,
Sounding to Adelaide in ’67.
Lady…
Lady bug, oh lady bug,
so weightless on my finger.
Visit, & fly away!
Batching it…
Steak a’ sizzling, beer cap popping,
Humming birds thrumming.
Bachelor’s night song!
On craziness…
And I hadn’t even turned on the tv or gotten the paper yet…
Well, I had skimmed through FaceBook, but that’s not really the craziness I was refering to. Just the craziness of daily life sometimes. When we have back-to-back weeks juggling multiple meetings, being everywhere, wading through a tsunami of email…
Until you finally have a couple of free weekends sandwiching a light schedule at work. Not that you’re going to be any less busy. After all, you’ve got all those personal and professional to-do list items that were swept aside by the hectic schedule, to work on. But it’s your schedule, you feel in control again…
Not looking ahead to the week coming up, the week when the craziness begins again.
Craziness
so much craziness,
in life, schedule, work, world, and…
it becomes normal.
Haiku Journey
